Thank you to the guys who came along and sang on Sunday 28th April. Well done for braving the cold April afternoon. They had 240 visitors on the day which was great! Thanks to Simon for playing some folk music too and the Polite Mechanicals! See you in June. If you’d like to take part next time, email: contact@janetayers.org
Super Spring Concert!
Thank you one and all for a wonderful concert. We had an audience of over 200 on the afternoon of the 21st April at St Judes, for the afternoon concert. Southsea Infants were fabulous, Southsea CC we great and the first ever gig by the Polite Mechanicals went down a storm. We raised just over £950 on the day, which is phenomenal, it really is, considering the difficult financial times were going through. Beating the Blues is a really very worth while project, bringing people together through singing, improving people’s well-being… and having lots of fun. Thank you again to all who came, the choir’s cakes for the interval, Catherine, Margorie and Jilly for organising the refreshments and all at St Jude’s Church for making us feel so welcome in their lovely church. Maybe see you again next April? CD sales for the choir will take the total to over £1000, so a great success!
Final rehearsal before concert on Sunday 21st April!
Singers are in good spirits at the end of the last rehearsal before the concert!
